Re: NOTICE OF ANNUAL MEETING SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 12, 2020, STARTING AT 1400 HRS.

Dear Member:

Per Article II of the Association’s Bylaws, please accept this correspondence as written notice of the regular annual meeting of the general membership. This year’s annual meeting will be unique in that it will be conducted entirely over the online platform known as Zoom. This is being done in consideration of adherence to social distancing standards currently in effect due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

If you would care to attend this virtual meeting, then please submit a request to president1@slppoa.org. You will then be sent an invitation to attend on the day of the meeting, Saturday, September 12, 2020. Be sure to submit your request at least fifteen minutes before the scheduled starting time of 1400 hours, i.e. 2:00 PM.

In addition to regular annual reports from members of the Board, summarizing upon what each has been focused on behalf of the Association since the last annual meeting, there are a couple of other items which may be of particular interest to some members. One of the more significant has to do with suggested placement of a cell phone tower within the boundaries of the subdivision.

David Stuedell, the Board member assigned Roads, has made some initial queries into this possibility. He plans to present a brief synopsis at the annual meeting about what he has so far determined will help to bring this project to fruition. He has graciously volunteered to head a subcommittee to discuss relative alternatives in making this project a reality for our community. If you would be interested in assisting Mr. Stuedell in this endeavor by becoming a member of this subcommittee, then please formally express your desire to do so by submitting an email request to him at roads1@slppoa.org.

There are presently three Board vacancies. Volunteers are being sought to fill those positions, which are that of Board Secretary, Director in charge of Water Maintenance and Director in charge of Legal. These positions are currently being handled in “Acting” status by other Board members. If you’d be interested in serving in one of these positions, then please submit an email which provides some personal information, preferably written in the third person, on which of these positions you may be interested and what, if anything, qualifies you to serve in that capacity. Please submit that email as soon as possible, signifying your intentions, to secretary1@slppoa.org.

In closing, I hope this correspondence has found you and yours well and keeping safe during the current health crisis. Honestly, I feel very lucky to be living in the remoteness of Sierra Los Pinos, significantly removed from more confined areas of the population. Perhaps we will soon come together to engage in conversation over Zoom.

Sincerely,

Paul S. Lisko, President
SLPPOA Board of Directors
