SAFETY, VALUE, AND PROFESSIONALISM
Your tech will be certified by the Chimney Safety Institute of America. He will be knowledgeable, friendly, and will gladly answer your questions. He will perform a safety inspection of your chimney per (NFPA) National Fire Protection Association guidelines. If you have a fireplace, he will use a special video camera to evaluate the inside of your chimney for any hidden defects such as gaps, cracks or deterioration. He will clean what you requested if needed, PLUS he will check the following:
A. Fireplace and/or wood stove, along with the connectors and chimneys
B. Dryer vent
C. Chimney exterior for signs of water damage and deterioration.
The NFPA recommends they should be inspected annually and cleaned if needed. They produce soot, creosote, lint and toxic gas fumes. These exhaust products can cause deterioration in their venting systems. Also, if a blockage occurs it could result in carbon monoxide poisoning, chimney fire, dryer lint fire and many other health or home related problems.
When the service is completed, your technician will go over his findings with you.
