Maybe you have heard about the increase in home break-ins in our area. Here is a Facebook message from Kathy Buhl regarding the recent break-in in their house in La Cueva.

ALERT: Home breakins are increasing! Just heard about 3 in Area 2 in the last few weeks, and our home in La Cueva was hit on Tuesday night/ Wed morning.
Be AWARE, there have been suspicious vehicles 'casing' neighborhoods... Let them see you taking a picture of their car & their faces (as long as you don't endanger yourself!) They don't want to be seen. Let's get this all documented so we can get a response from the Sheriff. Report what you see so we can capture it for future use.
Also: take pictures of your home now, with individual pictures of your electronics, jewelry, art, etc. Get the serial #'s of your electronics also and give this information to someone else to hold for you. This will help you identify what was stolen (or lost in a fire). Maybe even put some permanent name on the items, so they are harder to pawn, or easier to identify if they are.
