Fire preparedness presentation this Saturday!

Hi folks,
Just a reminder that the Fire Preparedness presentation is this Saturday, April 9th in La Cueva, 9am - noon, at the Jemez Mountain Baptist Church. You can hear from your local Emergency Response Agencies and other experts, and pick up informative brochures and other tips.

There will be lots of important information about:
Living with Fire,
Creating Defensible Space,
Fire History from local resident Tom Sweatnam who is a tree rings expert and retired professor at U of AZ,
the Los Alamos Lab folks are bringing their 3-D simulator so you can watch simulations of fire progression in our area,
Maureen Lincoln from LCVFD will do a short presentation on what to do if you are the First to Encounter an Emergency - Motor Vehicle Accident, Medical Issue, the first to see smoke from a Wildland Fire or a Structure Fire.
