NM Wildfire Updates, 6/24/16 at 8:10 PM

104 Fire: This fire has burned approximately 900 acres of private land near Hwy. 104. It is 75% contained. The area has received significant rainfall. There is some smoldering in the interior. Resources will monitor the site for hotspots tomorrow.

Blue Hill Fire: This fire has burned an estimated 1,000 acres of land near Mosquero in Harding County. Land ownership is undetermined at this time. Approximately 6-7 structures are threatened. Structure protection is in place. Multiple resources are continuing fire suppression activities.

Bonney Canyon Fire: A lightning-caused fire burned an estimated 169 acres of private and BLM lands, a decrease from the previously reported acreage. The fire has been fully contained. This is the final notification.

Curtis Valley Fire: No updates have been reported for this three-acre fire in the Lincoln National Forest.

Dog Head Fire: No changes have been reported for the Dog Head Fire. Updates are expected tomorrow. Demobilization of resources continues.

Goldmine Fire: There are no changes reported to the size this fire in the Ortiz Mountains. The fire is 50% contained. Resources are continuing suppression activities.

McClure Fire: No changes to the fire’s size in the Santa Fe National Forest have been reported. This fire is 50% contained. Resources are continuing suppression activities.

Unnamed Fire in Guadalupe County: A grass fire has burned 10-15 acres of private land approximately two miles to the south of I-40 along State Road 219 in Guadalupe County. No structures are threatened. Resources are on site.

There are no updates to the McKenna, North, Spur, and Turkey Fires. These ongoing fires are being federally managed for resource benefit.
