NM Wildfire Updates, 7.14.16., 5:15 PM

**Please note: information about the Timberon Fire in Otero County will continue to be provided separately. **

Black Fire: This fire in the Gila National Forest has reportedly burned 149 acres. No structures are threatened. Ground crews are continuing with fire suppression activities. The fire is 40% contained.

Black Range Complex: This fire in the Gila National Forest has burned a total of 2,355 acres of federal land. Multiple resources are continuing suppression and monitoring activities. This fire is being managed for multiple resource benefit.

Brunton Ranch Fire: Approximately 40 acres of private land burned in Lea County. Local resources responded and were able to control the fire last night. Unless there are significant changes to the fire’s size or activity, this will be the final notification.

Clavel Fire: No changes in size or activity have been reported for this fire near Roy in Harding County. It is 95% contained and no longer producing visible smoke.

Mangas Valley Fire: Approximately 80 acres of private land have burned to the west of Silver City in Grant County. The fire’s progress has been stopped. Multiple resources have responded to the incident and continue to engage in suppression activities.

Monastery Fire: This fire burned approximately two acres of private land in Jemez Springs, Sandoval County, a reduction from the previously reported amount. The fire has been 100% contained. This is the final notification.

Shoemaker Fire: A lightning-caused fire has burned approximately 1.5 acres of USFS land on the north side of the Capitan Mountains. Resources on site are monitoring the fire.
