FYI, the FS law enforcement officer is putting a task force to look into illegal ATV/motor bike off-road riding, including speeding, children not wearing helmets, and riding through the woods in SLP. You must have your ATV/bike registered or have a permit for special use, and those under the age of 18 must wear a helmet. For further information on specific rules and a map that shows where you are permitted to drive, go to: http://www.fs.usda.gov/santafe. Then go to quick links on the right and click on "travel management". At the bottom of that page is a map, and you can zoom into our area by clicking on "southwest" portion of map. The print is quite tiny, so you can also go to the FS office in Jemez Springs and get a larger print map.
