Jemez Ranger District Seeks Fire Fighting Crews

JEMEZ RANGER DISTRICT, SANTA FE NATIONAL FOREST

The Jemez Ranger District of the Santa Fe National Forest is seeking candidates for the Southwest Wildland Fire Fighters Crew (SWFF.) The SWFF crew is composed of A/D positions that work under emergency hire conditions. Applicants must be 18 years or older and be able to pass an arduous pack test.

Previously red-carded individuals are strongly encouraged to apply. New applicants are welcome; however, training classes will be held at the discretion of the Jemez Ranger District.

Applications will be available February 20, at the Jemez Ranger Station, 051 Woodsy Lane, Jemez Springs, N.M. 87025. Applications will also be available for pick up at the Pueblo of Jemez, Natural Resources Department beginning February 20th but completed Applications will have to be tuned into the Jemez Ranger Station/District by March 10th.
