Requests for Jaroso Fire information will be handled by the Santa Fe National Forest, 505-438-5446. The Jaroso Fire is burning in the rugged, steep, deep canyons of the Pecos Wilderness. It is burning in mixed-conifer, heavy dead and down, woody material with pockets of bug-killed trees, and has burned through the 1300-acres of blowdown from 2007.
