It is burning in mixed- conifer, heavy dead and down, woody material with pockets of bug-killed trees, and has burned through the 1300-acres of blowdown from 2007. The public is asked to use extra caution when traveling on roads open to them in the vicinity of burned areas and to be aware of fire vehicle traffic in those areas. Monsoon season often brings heavy rain. Residents in the vicinity of burned areas should remain alert to possible flooding.
