Fire Facts: Date Reported: 06/10/2013 Location: Espanola Ranger District within the Pecos Number of Personnel: 20 Wilderness, approx. 6 miles southeast of Borrego Equipment: No ground equipment at this time. Cause: Lightning Aircraft: 2 helicopters Size: 3,546 acres Injuries to Date: None Percent Contained: 0% General Information/Announcements: The U.S. Forest Service, Atlanta National Incident Management Organization (NIMO) has assumed command of the Jaroso Fire. The NIMO team is also managing the Tres Lagunas suppression and BAER (Burned Area Emergency Response) efforts, as well as, the Thompson Ridge BAER efforts. The NIMO team is implementing the Jaroso Fire Long Term Assessment. Future fire updates will be posted every morning. Evening updates will no longer be posted unless fire activity changes significantly.
