February 18, 2004

Meeting sort of called to order 7:27. No quorum.

Approval of November meeting minutes not done, no quorum

Treasurer Balance at $37,000. Got another 9k since January. Only 55% of dues received. Reminder due in March that late fees are assessed after due date of April 1. Two big checks were written for insurance and road work firm from last fall's work. >$7k. Special assessments - who what? Next meeting? Will send to 2 lots (2 have already paid).

Water Leak on system 2 at about 10gpm. Ann will start phone tree to warn people to conserve. We don't know where the leak is exactly.

Roads Pete plowed a couple times. Needs to give us a bill, as he has cashed the check. Not sure if he'll want more. Perhaps a better contract next year specifying at least 5 plows working. Calls about ice etc. on roads finally got the county to dump some sand. Bought two more sand cans for Los Griegos. Proposed purchase of portable sand/salt spreader. Could go on any vehicle. Post availability on WWW site, sign out, one day use. Or is it better to put out more cans? That's harder due to slipping while trying to spread. Spreader plugs into cigarette lighter. Turns on/off. with inside switch. It weighs 66 pounds, so maybe 2 people to handle. Decide this later when have quorum.

All these vehicles parked at fire station? Suzanne Star reporting lots of people using this as parking lot. Are they county vehicles?

Forest Service/Firewise With this firewise grant, will the association get any funding to clean/thin public areas? Ann assumes. Grant is for private property, and this is private property.

Parks/Slash Pit Needs to be burned!

Unfinished Business Letter went out about well on road easement. SLPPOA will be looking for contribution for road maintenance, since they (Sigrid & John? Stewart) are using our roads. Lots are higher than holding tanks, so they would need a booster and tank to use our water. Properties may be being transferred, so now is good time to hit them up.

New Business Could not bring in new member due to lack of quorum

Quit about 8:00. Next meeting March 17th.
