Candlelight Vigil Planned Tonight Sept 8, 8pm, Jemez Springs Park (Holiday Incident Search and Rescue)

Sunday September 8 2013 – 11:00 am A candlelight vigil to remember and honor fallen wildland firefighter Token Adams has been planned for tonight Sunday September 8th at 8 pm. The vigil is being hosted by area churches. The location of the vigil is the Jemez Springs Park. The public is asked to please provide your own candles.

Reflecting on Fallen Firefighter Token Adams Saturday September 7 2013 – 11:00 am Today the family and friends of Token Adams take time to reflect. It has been 7 days since Token was reported missing. Following a full week of intense searching by a multitude of agency personnel as well as hundreds of volunteers all coordinated by New Mexico State Police Search and Rescue along with the Southwest Incident Management Team Token’s body was located and recovered.

We are sad to announce that the body of Token Adams has been located (Holiday Incident Search and Rescue)

Token Adams Special Release Friday September 6 2013 – 4:45 pm We are sad to announce that the body of Jemez Ranger District Engine Captain Token Adams has been located. Token was dispatched to locate a smoke reported on Friday August 30 2013. Search efforts began late Friday afternoon and continued through this morning when his body was discovered. Token was an Engine Captain working in Jemez Springs NM. He was 41 years old and had been an Engine Captain on the Jemez Ranger District for 1 ½ years. He was a wildland firefighter for 10 years including previous experience as a hotshot.

4:30pm Token Adams News Conference Being Streamed Live Friday September 6 2013 – 4:30 pm Information has surfaced regarding the search for missing firefighter Token Adams. A special news conference has been scheduled for 4:30 pm at the Jemez Pueblo Walatowa Visitor’s Center. Incident Commanders with the New Mexico State Police Search and Rescue and the Southwest Incident Management Team will be on hand to pass on this important information.
