The last communication from him was received on Friday afternoon from Holiday Mesa.

Morning Update Missing Firefighter Search Continues Wednesday, September 4, 2013 – The search for Jemez Ranger District engine captain, Token Adams continues today. Token, who has been missing since Friday, August 30, has been the focus of an intense search effort by numerous Federal, State, County and local agency personnel as well as many volunteers throughout the holiday weekend. The family, fellow employees and the entire community of Jemez Springs have anxiously waited for the past five days in hopes that Token would be quickly found.

Holiday Incident - Search Continues for Missing Firefighter Tuesday, September 3, 2013 - The search for Jemez Ranger District (Santa Fe National Forest) wildland firefighter, Token Adams, was hampered again yesterday by heavy afternoon rains. The steep, rugged, dense terrain has also challenged efforts despite the over 250 personnel involved in the search. The terrain in the vicinity of the search is described as extreme topography with steep uphill and downhill trails and sheer cliffs. Token, the engine captain on a Jemez Ranger District engine has been missing for four days.

Holiday Incident - Search Continues for Missing Firefighter Tuesday, September 3, 2013 - The search for Jemez Ranger District (Santa Fe National Forest) wildland firefighter, Token Adams, was hampered again yesterday by heavy afternoon rains. The steep, rugged, dense terrain has also challenged efforts despite the over 250 personnel involved in the search. The terrain in the vicinity of the search is described as extreme topography with steep uphill and downhill trails and sheer cliffs. Holiday Incident (Missing Firefighter) Evening Update Monday, September 2, 2013, 6 pm: The search for Jemez Ranger District (Santa Fe National Forest) wildland firefighter, Token Adams, continued today after rain storms caused an overnight delay. Over 250 individuals from the Carson National Forest, Santa Fe National Forest, NM National Guard, NM State Police, NM Search and Rescue and various other agencies are actively looking for Token. NM State Police are also providing a helicopter to assist in the search.

Rehab Operations Complete (Tres Lagunas Post-Fire Response Burned Area Emergency Response)

Aerial Mulching and Channel Clearing Complete PECOS, NM – Aerial mulching operations are complete on the Tres Lagunas fire. Approximately 518 tons of straw was dropped by helicopter over 512 acres. This operation involved 29.5 flight hours over the course of 4.5 days. Mulched was dropped on 99 acres in Davis Creek, 295 acres above Tres Lagunas, and 118 acres at the head of Soldier Creek. These are the areas with the highest burn severity. The straw mulch was applied over areas that were previously seeded to hold moisture in place, which aids in seed sprouting and slows water flow.

BAER Update (Thompson Ridge Post-Fire Response Burned Area Emergency Response)

THOMPSON RIDGE BAER UPDATE Wednesday July 31, 2013 Jemez Springs, NM –The Thompson Ridge Fire burned 23,965 acres near and within the Valles Caldera National Preserve recreation and resource areas. The fire was human-caused on May 31 when a downed electrical line, ignited ground cover and spread into the adjacent forest of mixed conifer and ponderosa. To date, approximately $271,000 has been allocated to reduce the threat and severity of post-fire floods that are projected to occur for several years, especially during monsoon seasons.
