When it snows someone parks their car on the south leg of the southern Hovenweep/FR10 junction. That location would really slow fire apparatus trying to negotiate the north leg, because the south leg is jammed up by a parked car.

Please know that it's not acceptable to park on a public roadway.

Valles Caldera National Preserve Plans Prescribed Burn For Valle San Antonio

JEMEZ SPRINGS — Valles Caldera National Preserve is planning to implement a prescribed burn targeting up to 1,050 acres of meadow grassland in Valle San Antonio, located in the northwest portion of the preserve’s backcountry.

‘Cabin Fever Festival’ Now Slated For March 24

JEMEZ SPRINGS — Officials at the Village of Jemez Springs announced that the recently postponed Cabin Fever Festival in Jemez Springs will now take place 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, March 24.

The event was originally scheduled for Feb. 24 but Village officials postponed it in anticipation of inclement weather based on forecasts.

Jemez Ranger District Cebollita Prescribed Burn Possible March, April

SANTA FE, NM – March 12, 2018 – For Immediate Release. To take advantage of favorable conditions, to include fuel moisture levels, air quality and weather forecasts, fire managers on the Jemez Ranger District of the Santa Fe National Forest (SFNF) expect to conduct a broadcast prescribed burn sometime in March and/or April.
