State Forestry Update on Fires Near and Far

State Forestry Update on Fires Near and Far
NM Wildfire Updates, 6/24/16 at 12:30 p.m.

The New Mexico State Forestry (NMSF) notices warn us that the fire danger levels have grown to "extreme" in much of forested New Mexico, and that numerous fires, including two in the Jemez and more in nearby areas, have dotted the state. The effective response of fire crews, from different parts of the region aiding each other, has been outstanding, as we experienced with the Paliza and Battleship Campground fires.
